Forensics

Pity the forensics guy who has to get this shit cleaned up and in working order, then fire a round or two to determine if this gun fired the bullet(s) found at a crime scene.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).

but it doesn't look very old to me. As for whether it was used in a murder, with all the hits carried out in NY and Nj with .38 spl over the years, good luck with that.
