Does anyone know about these or have one? I need to know if it can be broken down so I can clean it.
The cylinder on the RG10 is pretty much permenently mounted, taking it out is pretty much a gunsmithing operation. You can clean it through the ejection/loading port.
Disclaimer: I am no gun expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...Ha ha ha!
Good one Hampster, and thanx. I figured as much about the gun but didnt know if there was a hidden trick or something. Well Im gonna clean it and test fire it.
My dad was actually cleaning out a storage box and remembered he bought it at a yard sale for 5 bux, so i got the wild hair that i wanted to shoot it and maybe give it a new blueing. But yeah Ive basically been turned off of it from google. Everyone posts that they dont hit anything within 2 meters, but befor i totaly give up ill fire a full cylinder.
if nothing else it will look cool hanging on your wall. A friend of mine had a couple of these and as I remember they were on the shitty side of accuracy.
RG's always surprised me, always thought something made in Germany would be best quality, yeah well maybe not in the revolver dept.. with the exception of Korth that is.. pretty sure they were used RFK, and either Regan or Lennon..
Why don't you have fun with it and do a bit of custom work. make that puppy a 1" bbl... (not going to affect accuracy much anyway) bob the hammer.. PLEASE for all of us, change the grips.. Doubt if you can find replacement, but you can take them off and wrap the butt with electrical tape and have a neat little hiking piece..
CB, have your dad go to more yardsales, i never find deals like that..
The accuracy is what disturbed me in the first place, and second is how loose it is put together. I just dont like shaving lead from the sides. But yeah it would look good as a wall piece. And when my dad got it I have no idea, but he got it in Big Bear California of all places, where I grew up. But yeah I already plan on changing the grips, I cant believe tey came with plastic grips on it. But yeah I defiantly am going to fire it and see if its a good one and then Ill carry it as the last line of defense. And that isnt the only treasure my dads got from a yard sale for 5 bux either Ill post pictures of the other one as soon as I can but its a gun .32 s&w made in 1900. But sense hes found all these I cant pass up a yard sale. Anyway have a good one boys!
My dad got one of these long ago from a wetback he lent money to.
Saturday night special might be a compliment.
my dad gave me one he found in a flood about 40 years ago and i
