i would go for a decent handload in 45 colt.easier on the hands with enough stopping power to do the job

IS BAD FOR THE CILINDER CAUSE WHEN IGNITES LEAVES A LOT OF LEAD AND BLACK RESIDUE ON IT THAT IT WILL EVENTUALLY DESTROY IT...

if you clean it after you shoot it there shouldnt be a problem but to be sure contact the manufacturer,they will tell you for sure

freedom arms will tell you not to use the same cylinder. they recommend 1 for .45 and .454. i am with greasy in that the .45 colt can be loaded hot and heavy.
