I have a stainless steel security six with the 2 3/4 barrel that I perchased new. It currently has pacmyer grips and I still have the origanals. In the total run of secuity sixes of over 500,000 units the people at ruger made a total of only 30 units that had the smaller grips that were like the speed six and I have 1 of them which should make this a very rare production gun. I just live down the road from ruger in New Hampshire which made it easy to verafi the status of the gun. TRACTOR MAN

I had one identical to the one in the picture. Most accurate revolver I've ever owned. I sold it when I was offered significantly more than I paid for it. That was back when I was dealing/trading/selling guns, and I never kept any piece very long, no matter how much I liked it. I needed the profit on the guns to keep my kids in college!
Had both Rugers and S&W before we changed over to Glocks.. Never understood why both Ruger and Dan Wesson revolvers were not more popular.. price maybe.. both excellent weapons..
