one or two cans of 7.62 ammo totalling 400 rds, I cut down an old MK19 gun mount and used a 40mm ammo can to hold up to 850 rounds. Hell, I flipped this bracket and used a tall 40mm ammo can and crammed 1400 rounds in one day, but that was a bit too heavy for the mount as it lost dome of its rigidity when I cut it down. My gunner was very well armed. Bad guys aren't impressed with how fast a gunner car reload, bad guys are, however, real impressed that a gunner can hold the trigger down for over a minute straight and still have ammo left.
