laughing...you still trying to blow yourself up brother... Wait till we do the NM thing before you turn that mortar into a Crater... I don't know about Ann guys.. Something about redheads has always spooked me, never known a real normal one.. Say one thing about her, you never heard of any of the nonsense that todays actors and actress get themselfs into.. Speedway...now there was some serious acting for you.. Think it took home all the Oscars didnt it... oh no, that was Viva Las Vegas..
You young guys wont believe this..back in 67-68 all thru SE Asia...cigs were 10 a pack...thats for filtered those non filter pal mall, and camel cats were buying them for a nickel... for a fact..
ever been to the philippines?
We did our deployments to danang, utapau, and sangley pt PI where we spent most of our time.. Sangley pt (hope you've been there) is across the bay from Manila, and talk about party hard.. at the time the exchange rate was 4 pesos to a buck, and you could set up the bar with san miguel for a peso, Short time was 2 maybe 3 pesos if really fine..you could party hard for a buck and a half.. Good days... It's also across the bay from the island of Corregidor, and when we were there it was only like 24 years after the shelling so all the adults would tell us about it..
remember a private drew $80.00 a month
sent $40.00 home and played poker a lot.
I was always lucky at cards.
yeah i asked because i was born in manila, ive also been to corregidor, and talk about san miguel, do you still drink?
I'm a "counter' these days raff.. not the party guy i once was.. have a couple to get mellow thats about it.. But sure knew my way around san miguel when i was young.. and those phillipine gals.. so whats the story, you speak tagalog or american parents.. and whens the last time youve been back..
ive had 12 bottles of guinness draught, but yeah i speak tagalog but english is my main language, i am filipino but my great grandparents actually came here after world war 2, they got a citzenship to come here and my parents decided that i be born there so i am actually a dual citizen by paper.
We had Phillipinos in the service.. don't know how that worked, and if it still does, and not a citizen like you are either, talking PI residence..maybe cause it was sorta an american protecterate or something, don't know how that worked.. Know that if i had 12 of anything i would be under the table, much less be able to type, or think...amazing, your making us geezers feel our age.. Careful and dont drive brother... Tagolog is so close to spanish, least i thought so.. Do you follow manny packyon (screwed that spelling up) the fighter...That was my sport..
well my great grandpa actually was a philippine guerilla fighting the japs with americans and after the war they offered him and my great grandmother American citizenships and they took it, and they just kept the family bigger and now the family legacy is up to me, im the only male left carrying the name, yeah tagalog is close to spanish because they invaded us til the good ole USA came to help(surprise! lol), and yeah i follow boxing too, not exactly my sport, but it sure is fun to watch, i play football, i dont like to get hit without padding lol.
Paciquio is a great fighter! Would love to Mayweather/ Paciquio fight! Paciquio comes at you from so many angles its had to defend yourself youtube the Paciquio/ Cotto fight you'll see what I mean
I agree, Pacquiao all the way... Mayweather lost me when he started going by "Money Mayweather". He's still a great fighter, but Manny is the man. Pacquiao and Margarito fight next month
Floyd was never one of my favorites.. Sorta miss the good old days of Duran, and Lennard.. My favorite was Tommy Hearns.. He my friends was a fighter.. Always thought pound for pound the best welter weight that ever laced on gloves.. Remember when they made him change his name from "hitman" because it was to violent.. When the world of P.C. hits boxing you know somethings wrong..
looks like a good movie. Its about Micky Ward... Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are in it. It comes out sometime soon. I've been seeing previews for it quite a bit lately
