When a crazed gunman opened fire in a Beverly Hills dentist office, Lydia Carranza was shot by a semi-automatic assault rifle at point blank range.
The gun was held directly to her heart when the madman pulled the trigger but luckily her size-D breast implants took the force of the blow, shielding her vital organs from the bullet.
The shooter stormed into the office looking for his wife, who was killed in the attack before he turned on Mrs Carranza who was sat only a few feet away.
Dr Ashkan Ghavami told the Los Angeles Times that if it hadn’t been for her implants, she might not have survived the bullet.
Ms Carranza underwent breast enlargement surgery some years ago to increase her B-cup to a D-cup.

I played a joke on my wife years ago regarding implants. She knows I think guys wearing earrings is gay (I'm in Kali remember) One day she said she would get implants if I got an earring. Of course I said she was high and left it at that. A few weeks later a buddy showed up at work with a fake earring. It's held on by a very strong magnet, after a while it starts to hurt. Well, I showed up at home after work with the earring and magazine that had all the breast augmentation doctors names highlighted. She even looked right at the back of the earring and couldn't see that is was fake. She started to cry because she thought she was gonna have to get boobs, I got to pick the size! Well. after about two hours ( because the damn magnets were hurting my ear ) I showed her it was fake. Hell she called me every name in the book while I was laughing my ass off!!
