Thanks Jay, It takes all kinds, I know that after all these years, but I have been a little bummed out about a good friend that has passed away a lot sooner than expected and I asked some of you guys about it when he wanted me to to buy his winchester 73 replica that winchester made like 501 of in 2008 and are sealing the mold again for another 100 years. He knew I loved that gun, but he paid over 2200.00 and would only take 850.00 from me and left instructions that it only go to me period. I tried with his wife to tell her to just pretend and I will get her a better price and and all that stuff. But she insisted they were financially set and the other three of us left were to get the one thing we each wanted but he knew we would not take it so he wanted to sell it to us, you know the deal, and Randy and probably you and the other guys said buy it because he wanted you too, to have it and all. But never did yet dig the money up and now he is gone and I got to hear about the gun? and then try to escape for a little while on here and have some fun and then have to prove shit. I guess it is a bad day for me today and do not want to bring anybody else down, so I will backoff for a while and do some thinking. Thanks Jay John

You talkin to me?

I maybe paranoid (no shit), but I have a feeling that you took offense to my comments about not liking the trigger on the S&W Sigma and my statement that the GSG5 is an MP5 clone. Neither of those comments were anything negative towards you. Just because I said that the GSG5 is an MP5 clone (which it is), doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. I never asked you to prove that you own a 1yr anniversary edition of the gun. As a matter of fact, the only time I mentioned the GSG was in this thread...
http://www.gunslot.com/pictures/my-end-world-answer-me

I apologize if you're talking about someone else.... but if you're referring to me you don't need to beat around the bush or take cheap shots. Just call it like it is. If you think I'm wrong 70% of the time, by all means call me out like I would do.... but I can assure you that I'm never ever ever ever EVER wrong! Now go to the corner with ebear until LLE releases you.

The trigger is a combination of both the Sigma and the M&P. Moved the pivot pin for the trigger foot to the location of the M&P's but has a minimum 7 lb trigger with a long double action pull and a .45 inch reset.

Though I'm sure it can be worked on for myself it isn't something I would consider for my wife or daughter. Though if that was all I had they damn well would train with it so they could use it. lol

reaper,i kinda thought he was talkin about runaway.i looked at the older post from when he first put the pic up,and didnt see anything about anyone calling him out on the type of gun.i did see some debate about barrel lenghts being equal for similar or equal muzzle velocities though.in any case nice little gun john.wish i had one.

I know three different people that have them and they have always bee some serious fun. One of the guys has the model with the barrel shroud that the BATF got pissy about. It looks real but it is ridiculous the BAFT would get so strung up over nothing more than a shroud. Worried it can be turned into some kind of integral suppressor but the damn thing would blow apart shortly or be destroyed making it into a can.

Another fun 22 is the CMMG 22lr AR though I do not know why no one has come out with a Beta mag for it. That would be pretty cool really, I mean they could put a Brick of 22 into one and you would'nt have to reload the whole damn day!

Iknow, that is what it is all about, just having some fun and testing how far and the limits for it. The Ammo is cheap and all with economy, and just love to shoot. But cannot shoot the big boys all the time with money tight, and things happening? It really is challenging to me to just see with a peep site how much you can shoot and how accurate and holding different ways etc. I still would like to see if one shot in the head of these stupid pigs would bring them down, or a heart shot. I love the swamp guys and they all seem to use a 22 some with scope for long shots, but I guess they have to hit the Gator just right behind the head or neck somewhere. A long shot and they sink fast, but the show said these guys use a big like three pronged little anchor type thing and drag the area for it if it sinks on them. But still fun and cool, and these people have made their living on this for like 300 years the show says. I do not know how they killed them before 22's, but they are some badass people. I hope your daughter is feeling beeter as time goes by John, and did you figure out or her what the one was ? John

I have a little experience with this on our old farm in KS. A .22LR will drop a large hog with proper shot placement (in the ear). There was an was an old guy that would come limping around when we were little (he lived down the road), and he told us that he had been hit by a ricochet off the skull in his hip when he was younger, so he was telling us to be careful.

you ever watch that show "Swamp People" this father son team of gator hunters are out and the father shoots this Gater in the head and the bullet breaks and kicks off and hits the son in the arm and under the eye. Kid starts telling his father about shooting him again, guess he's done it a few different times! lol

I think I would have to be the one with the gun in my hands on that team... lol

About half an inch under his eye, he squeezed the fragment out with his fingers. Then they went home and his mother tried to dig the one in his arm out with a knife but it hurt too much. So they went to the bar and drank some beers and they planned on her digging it out after he wasn't feeling anything.

Now those are some hard people... lol

I confess

Last year I was moving some iron with the skid steer. I picked up a large piece of sheet iron with a channel iron frame welded to it. A rattler about 3 feet long was under it. From the seat of the bobcat I took a couple of shots at it with my semi auto .22 pistol. One hit the channel iron and fragments peppered me in the face and chest. It drew blood onder one eye (thanks safety glasses) but nothing to dig out. I'll dismount and shoot fom an angle next time.

frags

yeah, I've caught some in the leg from doing stupid things. Many ages ago, I was trying to test expansion of various JHP's by shooting them directly into the ground (I know). It was working quite well for a while, but I eventually caught a shit ton of frags from a .45 JHP (I think corbon or hornady) in the leg. Yes, I was wearing shorts. They drew lots of blood, and yes, I had to dig them out. Not fun. Sometimes I have to suffer the consequinces before I realize how stupid I can be.

John, there's been a couple of times that I think you were calling me Jay. I'm not sure if you were talking to Jay or if you meant me or not. But I just wanted to double check.

I am Okay, sister is doing much better and seems to be out of danger of death anyway. Thanks for asking. I started to write you a long feel sorry for myself answer, and you guys especially younger make me understand that life is how you look at it, and live it. So I hope to just lighten up and live with the rest of you guys, and have fun, and when able shoot my guns and hunt, if want to. Guys like you and Snake have taught me this, Isd with his transplant, Lbc was practically everywhere I was, He knows the the way to live, like all you guys do, and I appreciate it, and will never forget that an old dog can lean new tricks. Thanks STJM John

Just saw this. No problem. Life gets hectic for all at times. And for those that it doesn't, well they're probably slackers. :D
OK, I took my usually dump on the board. Now it's time to cut and run. Later all.

James, just when I think you are going to let it go, you do the opposite. But I like that, in a man, shows character and giving. Vaq asked me to let it go? But I have not heard from snake, it is my understanding that he & a few other young guys said some untruths, probably to try and fit in, being so young. I think he is 21 years old now. But I also heard he manned up to it and appologized. Now why would you not take that oppurtunity to give a second chance to a kid that needs guidance and is reaching out for it. Who is really being the spiteful one here ? John

You are to good a man to bother with the likes of me, I started to get worked up again at a neighbor I wrote about. I guess I am just getting to old, and shit for brains, I did punch that tree hugger, but could not take his taunting when a child was killed. The guys in parking lot was just talking sense to them and leaving old guy and Vet alone. But still cannot let things keep getting to me. I am no different than anyone else and their problems. I am just a number somewhere . Reaper is write and I made it worse. I will change and drop it now. thanks John

Now that I think I understand you and humor and who you really are, You put me threw Boot C and AIT didn't, you to see if I would flip and how I would come back. Crazy as a fox, or should I say clown. Then pushed some more, but told me the skinny when it came down to it. Funny thing, I like that. And LBC if you read this were you a juicer too? Only we would now what that meant ? LOL, you guys crack me up! John

That is something else, I did see a while ago on tv a show that was on and my brother called and said quick turn on channell whatever then, but a guy was shooting a rifle up against an embankment like a gravel pit, and was pretty far back but when he shot it was instant- the bullett came right back and just grazed his top of head and knocked his hat off. Drew blood, but talk about a rickochet. But I never new what he was shooting either, but he stopped that day. But I was thiking about how much it took out of me and some guys to do that pig hunt and I am disabled and expected to hurt, but other guys were feeling it bad too. and thinking what farmer said to me that those pigs were so stupid that you could sit on a tailgate of a truck and pick one off and they come right back fifteen minutes later, so pick another one off, and especially on the orange tree grove rows, you can look down like a star shape of rows at a time. Just looking for the easiest way, when I hurt bad and want to take my mind off it, and have fun too. But do not want no rickochets if that is how you spell them? So maybe Heart shots will do on 300lbsers, and take the 44 mag too right. Thanks John

Do you believe I am so late reading the post and not reading the others, I said just about what everybody else already said, except for that show with swamp people, that was true what Isd said, and the mother slapped the father and handed the gun to the kid and said to the father, he does the shooting now, git it ? But the kid and Isd if you remember said to the camera it will fester up later and Mama will pop it out, something like that. unreal JLC
