Now even your girlfriend can have a Wi-Fi connection...
Every January the T3 team ships itself off to Las Vegas to cover the almighty storm of gadget launches that is CES, and every year we have to avert our innocent eyes from what’s going on next door. The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is staged annually over the same few days as CES, and it happens but a few feet from our base of operations.
This year (as with most, to be fair) something at the AVN show has caught our eye, if only because it’s completely mad. Meet Roxxxy – the world’s first robot girlfriend.

The five-foot seven-inch, 120-pound, erm, stunner features fully articulated limbs, a working heart (powering a liquid cooling system) and flesh-like skin – but Roxxxy’s smarter than the average sex doll.
Douglas Hines, Roxxxy’s creator, says: “She's a companion. She has a personality. She hears you. She listens to you. She speaks. She feels your touch. She goes to sleep. We are trying to replicate a personality of a person.” True enough, Roxxxy, boasts a sophisticated AI that picks up on what you like and is actually able to have conversations with you about your favourite topics. An inbuilt Wi-Fi connection keeps her software updated, and there are five personalities to choose from - including Wild Wendy and Frigid Farrah.
Roxxxy is available now from manufacturers TrueCompanion, priced between £4350 and £5993. Something worth noting, though: Real women are capable of all the above, and usually don’t look quite as scary.
