Just curious, because it's best to know how it's been treated/used/maintained. Did he give you pictures of the parts with it stripped? And the bore wear? But even if it's been heavily used, I'd say it's still a good price.
depending on what you do to it. I've put more money into mine than the gun costs, but my trigger gives me a hard on. I would have saved money if I had bought it with all of the bells and whistles straight from the factory.
It's definitely a good 1911 for the price. If you compare the other models in that price range, I would rather have the mil spec springer.

this looks to be a nice piece. As shiny and smooth as that stainless is, it is pretty obvious it hasnt been mistreated or abused. I would be willing to bet it hasnt been in a holster much if at all. I put my Hard Baller in a Galco and noticed fine wear scratches immediately. I have posted pics of my gun here and Clint has seen it and fired it so you all know it is a beautiful piece. The gun in the pic above is even shinier and finer polished than what I have so it would certainly show poor handling.
Very nice piece for sure. That is a keeper and as pointed out it will only go up in value over time. I'd keep it stock beyond sights and maybe a trigger job to smooth it out. Though it will smooth out on it's own after some rounds are put through it.
Hell, I'd carry it for that matter!
No sir, he fell into that bullet...
Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!
Congrats Amigo,
I do a bunch of 1911 Springer work. Just Fluff & Buff Micro polish, Trigger slide & action slick up's, slide lapping & Micro polish. With the exception of Mag capacity, & bad nerves concerning

t hear any complaints From any customers or my self on this piece.
What I will say to yo you is this. As with any piece..... Practice, Practice, Prentice. This single action 1911 is a totally different animal than anything you have ever fired or carried before.

but hell yeah. They are great. $530 is a great price for this one. Do you know the owner?

Tried to add another picture.

this is exactly how mine started out. I dumped way too much $$ into mine, but it's my favorite range pistol.

exactly what I had in mind.
I got a neighbor who ranks nationally with race guns. Between his "know how" and hydraulic Dillon setup, I might go broke.
