Beautiful

It's just like mine, except stainless. Have you shot it yet?

I guess I lost this one. ?
Thanks guys.
SJMB, I've run a couple of boxes through it so far.
I'm happy with it for sure. Weather and work are screwing up my range time.
I hope for a cooler and slower summer than 2011 was.

The wife is the only gal at the range who has "held" it.lol
She liked it OK but prefers the .38 wheel guns.

I enjoy my 1911, because there are occasional wrist probs that make me leave the .45 in the holster.
That bad boy will twist my wrist like a limp dish rag.
Dang it I love that cheap-ass Thompson :<)

daisy..

you need to talk to pard bout some of my "padre plinkers" .. Lee mixed up a batch. (correct me here if im wrong) that are based on the 115gr 9 conical nose semi wad cutter.. leave perfect round holes, go out at a speed a tad more than 158 wad cutters.. and about the softest shooting round that you could still use to stop the BG.. serious here.. vaq makes these with that hand loaders OCD that their going to shoot better than you can..

You're right on, very easy to shoot all day. Did I tell you I got rid of all my reloading equip when Stella & I moved to town? Now we're back where we started and I could use the stuff. I have a Lee Loader in .45 and .38 but haven't broke them out since I have 12 bazillion rds of FMJ to burn up LOL !

As an aside,

Ditto,

(cough) Lowly Taurus owner here (cough) Vaq that is really a nice gun, even tho Taurus builds in many features into their PT1911, just not the same:-)

pistols but aren't Taurus rated fairly high in owner satisfaction? Anyway, I thought so.
In my MUCH younger days Taurus revolvers were not very desirable. But they build some sweet looking pieces now a days.

Hamp

you have the Taurus 1911? I've heard good things about them. Then again, it IS a flawless design. :D

I have a Taurus (4410 AKA the Judge), and Taurus makes good wheel guns. I've heard that they've had issues with their semis, but I think that's been the PT line. It's a good company though. They are definitely earning a place in the world of firearms.

Vaq's SA 1911

Good to hear, Vaq. Sometime when we can meet up at a range, we can have our siblings meet and compare. I love mine, and it just seems to keep getting better. But I give it plenty of TLC. TBH gets jealous sometimes. lol
