You need to head where I live in the White Mnts. You don't even have to leave Az and you can see elk bigger than that. Head out around the Mogollon Rim on the 300 rd. on the Apache/Sitgreaves N.F. You should see some but may have to take one of the roads that shoot off.

I camp on the rim 6 or 8 times a year. even when they close 300 in the winter, us nutbags find somewhere up ther to freeze our asses off. Its perfect to get out of the valley, especially in the summer. My truck has come very close to getting taken out by a couple herds on 87 and 260. I've seen some massive fuckers up there.

hey, have you ever heard some really wierd noises up there in the middle of the night? definately didn't come from any animal. I've heard the same thing two different times, and thought I was going crazy.

Right now would be a good time to camp out, it's getting about 10 degrees at night but the days are nice. Getting into the mid to high 40s. I've heard some noises in the P-J country at night but nothing out on the rim. I think what I heard was a night hawk. I have been on fires with bulls bugeling back and forth at night though out on near the rim. I think I missed the deadline to put in for tags this year.

I don't give a shit what you do. I don't think there is any "etiquette" on this site anyway. just a bunch of rednecks, military, and gun fanatics shooting shit. I don't think anyone will mind. Plus, it will bring up older topics that some of the newer members weren't around for.
