i drive there from tennessee just to pick up my custom snakeskin pointed toe western boots.
I've stepped almost on top of 3 snakes in my life! Two Rattlers and one CopperHead....Thank God everytime it was cool out and they were not top game!
i come across those all the time in the desert while camping, shooting, riding (mostly diamondbacks, but a couple mohave's too). I usually let them slide, but had to take a couple out when my dogs were running around. even picked one up once that had a huge rat half way down its throat... he was pissed and rattling like a madman, but couldn't bite cause his jaw was dislocated from feeding
Like my Grandad use to say "The only good snake, is a dead snake!"
you are killing me family dammnit
im a snake im alive and well. you dont like it the its cool just dont ask me for anti venom when your bit. LOL
It's actually called antivenin. I don't know why, I just report stupid things. I am the Fountain Of Useless Knowledge and you've just been FOUKed. hah hah.
Snakes are wonderful animals and very useful. I will kill any venemous snake I find in my yard, as I have a young son and two small dogs, but I can't imagine why anyone would go out of their way to kill such useful vermin control animals. I have a 5 foot coachwhip snake (people around here call them red racers) that lives under my house. I've caught it once to show my wife, but as long as there is a snake under the house, there aren't mice.
The only good snake is a die snake. When my wife had a paper route we use to ran over snakes that were in the road.
I had a pet ball python. When I first brought him in, we always had mice in the house. There was a huge pasture next to the house and they would come in from the field. Once they smelled that snake, I never saw another mouse in the house or even in the garage. My dad hated that snake until he saw that the mice left. Then he love him.
