state of residency to Arizona. I'm a MO resident right now, so I don't have to pay any state taxes because of military exemption. If I change to AZ, I'll have to pay the full registration tax and all, but I'll also be able to be more active in local politics. I really think it's a good idea to go ahead and vote out every incumbent and replace them with a new person, just to send a message.

That's just a fact of life.. I think the same should apply re the salaries and perks.. The current life time benefits are a joke, and were represented by career politicians who have no grounding in the real world, weve managed to corrupt the system to the point that instead of being represented by those who did this gratis, and felt it a responsibility to serve, were now being represented by lawyers and political science majors who have little work experience, and more contact with lobiest than thier constituents, and more interests in keeping thier lucrative perk filled positions than honoring those who sent them there..

Or just skip to this ...were screwed unless we change

The teaparty boys and girls are going to be driving down 93 before turning east on 60 into Phoenix.. I'm trying to get in touch with them to coordinate when thier driving thru our area so i can at least take a couple of pics and show support.. My plan is just to be on the side of the road with a sign.. "your doing it for ALL of us..Thanks"... Hoping they respond and i can get an itinerary that will give some idea of the time sat night or sun morn..

That was my thought.. That Gloria and i would drive down take a couple of signs, and both the cameras.. Thought maybe it might be nice for them to see that regular (they wont have a chance to talk to me, and we look pretty normal) people are supporting them.. AND WE ARE!

Got to get some work done (ok play) .. anyway see ya all later... By the way i love the sneeze post!!..

You guys arent as pretty as Megan Kelly, but your good for the soul... see ya all later..

we have had this type of health care in mass for 4 years now.In those 4 years heres what happened
We are 4 Billion yes thats Billion over the estimated cost.
This is with 93% of the people already having health care.
now imagine the cost escalations of this on a nation wide system where there are states with 18 to 25% of people without health care. Now to really scare you insurance/Pharmaceutical stocks are on the rise. Would they be doing this if this was actually going to lower our cost? No they stand to make millions more on our backs.

I hate these lib scum just as much as the next "Right-wing, anti government gun nut", but if the fags, libs, and hippies want some fucking troll like Feinstein to represent them, then they will keep her there. If they don't, but they fail to go out and vote and be active, then that's on them. I know, a senator from Nevada can affect life in Iowa with a vote, but that's the system we have. Clearly, if we decided to go with a monarchy, dictatorship, or some other system where the idiot masses had no say who stayed and who went, the conservatives would win. We have all the guns and most of the military. But it's the system we have and term limits only hobble that system. Hell, you want term limits? How about we use a rotating lottery system where a citizen is randomly selected every two years to be a representative? Like jury duty, but with national impact.

I kinda like the lottery idea.
Heck, give 5 lucky winners on the existing money games the right to name your next congressman.
( only 5 tickets per district )
Valid ony for registered voters.
How many tickets would you buy?
Voluntary income supplement for your state.

That'd be too similar

to the current system. Big money would buy enough tickets to win a vote. This way, no poor people could claim lack of representation. I think my idea is GREAT!!!!!!

after careful thought, vote the incumbents out.
make 'em keep their promises or fire them.
"we" get paid to do a job. Fire them.

One of our congressmen, Tom Foley, D-Spokane, was Speaker of the House at the time and brought suit against an initiative that had passed here in '92. The Supreme Court agreed and term limits were thrown out. In the next election, a guy named Nethercutt used the caption, "Foley against the people of the State of Washington" against him and ALSO "promised" to only serve three terms. Nethrcutt won, so "we" lost the Speaker position. Then Nethercutt served five terms, violating his own promise.

Bottom line is the state Supreme Court said such a limit was unconstitutional.
