I had scales on the gambrel and they said 130, but I think they were off. Just judging by trying to lift the bastard up into the 4 wheeler. Unless I've really gotten that weak, but I'd guess 150. Should be a good amount of meat. Not bad for a Texas whitetail.

We have the Texas sub-species (Odocoileus virginianus texanus). They tend to be smaller than the Northern or Dakota (O.v. borealis or O.v. dacotensis) whitetails that you're probably used to seeing. One day, I'd like to take a trip up to Indiana, where the old family farm is, and get one of those monsters.
