The Mini Beryl Carbine

This one is for Victor chan. It's a very long ranged carbine for the 5.56mm caliber. This is typical of modern Polish military firearms we have discovered in our reading and research. It's a shame the Kbs site is in Polish without an English translation.

the round fired from this would drop like a rock at a 1000 meters. Cool looking rifle.

Agree with ford

The M4 has a 14.5 inch barrel with a listed maximum effective range to a point target of 500 meters. Even that is stretching it quite a bit. The sight settings may be adjustable to 1000 meters, but there is no way this weapon would ever be suitable for even supression at that range. It does look like a nifty little PSD weapon, though.

ryo agree it very unlikely this shoot effectively farther than 500 meter. but it is true that part of Polish combat philosophy is to use longer range weapon. ryo have research many rifle in past 6 week or so and for most part sight settings are almost alway set for shorter distance than weapon can shoot, but it just the opposite with these rifle. seem like sight settings are for longer than rifle can shoot.

I think the 1000 meter setting is pretty much standard on Warsaw Pact- style rifles. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the AK rear sight goes to 1000 or 1200 meters, right? Probably just easier and cheaper to use the same type of rear sight.

would be great for house to house with this size rifle. I think the Polish were drinking with this one being long range. LOL Very good write up Ryo and Ryu.

for sights on AK style rifle in most literature have read. in fact with just a few exception most AK type rifle are shorter ranged and have shorter sight setting. for example the AK 100 and 101 are only claim to range to 500 meter and have adjustable sights.

longer range than usual rifle. they have history of this from the 50s according to what have read. but it just not seem reasonable that such short barrel carbine as the mini beryl that is chamber for the 5.56mm round would be capable of such very long range. does seem like good CQC type weapon though. and it also very likely that it Wikipedia that get some specs wrong neh.

Maximum range

I read many article and specifications about guns, I disagree 5.56x45 NATO with 235mm barrel cannot fire accurately at 1000 meters

I wish million of visitors for my website http://www.mehranbiz.com
