you guys are getting old, for what its worth so some youngster doesn't think it "fell off" that little crease below the right cheek is way "purty" as pard says..
I was thinking its a 56 they had that chrome molding on the hood, but it looks a bit to "squared off" or something.. Not sure but don't think thats a metropolitan. Dated a gal that had one down in Tucson in my wild youth..
We don't talk a lot about past gals, but this is cool, and if i don't tell you guys i know i'll forget (looking around to make sure Glorias not close, shes NOT crazy about my tramp past) I was shopping for a tat on the phone, called this place "skin art saloon" (could still be in bussiness for all i know were talking like 25+ years ago but who knows) anyway gal answers, i ride by the next day and get the tat..
Her name was Shelly, and she had an old Nash metropolitan, all the kitchen appliances were restored straight out of 1950's turquoise or rose, can't remember.. Also had a couple BIG birds.. WAY cool (really looking for Gloria now) but didn't get serous enough to even get free ink..

all Chrysler products. Originally on the column, but put on the floor with floor shifter, this was pre Hurst so I think it was a Lee's Speed Shop in Oakland, Ca part.

If I had to guess I would say it was a 56 Desoto....
To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them...’’

Carter made the WFD & later the AFB which I can build in my sleep. I have never worked on a Holly, don't like them. Carters could be had up to an 1100.
With jet & spring kits, you could completely tune them forever what you wanted to do.
temperamental, ill mannered beasts. Simple jet changes result in gas all over a hot engine. Thats why Lumpy is sporting dual 625 AFB's, much easier to tune.

or is that to, no maybe too.. When does Schuyler get back again..were not at war yet so guessing he's kept a low profile so far huh..
I always heard them called four barrel.. and of course they were.. the linkage arangement would open two at a time and man on those old one when you opened up the other two barrels.. seems most of the secondary barrels were toward the aft end of the unit, but have seen some on the left side as well.. anyway when the other two barrels kicked in you could feel it..and sure thought AFB was aluminum four barrel

tuning manual that states the AFB as "aluminum four bore", I will look for it when I get home, it surprised me as well, always thought it was barrel.

Used to race one in late model stock cars. A little 325" Hemi, Carter WFD, 3 spd tranny.
