I have done some reading on the 24/7 sounds kinda sweet, and the price is right. I think the taurus 1911 may be my second gun though and get all the frills like trigger work and shit done to it.

i just liked the way the 24/7 felt in my hand....but if they would of had the 1911 in stainless right then and there it would have been a coin flip., but i will say this....the XDm would have won.....
xdm is the #1 now I am just planning on my 2nd, it is just the research stage. It took the better part of 6months to decide on the xdm and now I fucking cant find one.

I have fired two Kimbers and they were great. .45 ammo cost is not so great not for my first gun in awhile. Hopefully in one week I will have better luck. I am checking out summitgunbroker.com and it looks like a good site. I have found lasers at the shows for about 100 bucks. wont be top of the line but better than night sights I would assume

I go once a month to the shows around here, I have found some great deals for my boss who is an avid fan I didnt have the money then I was still saving up, Now I have had it locked away in my gun safe for weeks and I am woried it is burning a hole in the safe.

i was just lookin at gunbroker and the reguler XD's are all about or just below 500.00,,,with all the toys. xd's are still great guns. the xdm's are better but the reguler xd guns are very good.
I thought about it, I have yet to shoot the xdm only a regular xd, but like I said I waited 6mos I will wait one more week and make sure I get what I want...kinda I may settle for the .40 instead of the 9mm

the shortage is all brought on by the consumer. Wisconsin Cartridge Co. said so theirselves. when you get so many greedy people buying ammo by the thousands nobody can keep up and the prices will skyrocket just like the primer shortage in the '90s
