Well how the hell are you feeling? Hope you are better. Your boys have been fine gentlemen as usual. They really have their collective stuff together. Nice to have you back for awhile.

Thank you. It's true. The cardiologist has warned me to cut back on my work load. Thank you also for looking out for my boys while I've been sick. I have to rest more. There's just too much damage to the left side of the back half of my heart. It can't be repaired and I'm not a candidate for a transplant.

They went with their friend and his father. It's the first time I've allowed Ryo kun to go shooting without my supervision, but you can't keep them in their strollers forever.

His maturity level and self assurance has really grown in the last few weeks.

He is an 18 yr old kid, without a diploma, gotten married and has his wife pregnant. Has killed someone trying to steal his truck. Has crashed numerous cars. Doesn't drive very safe. Now wants to join up and be a sniper. His whole world has been spent around video games and fantasy. I feel sorry for him. I have worked with him on his spelling and vocabulary, but not much impetus on his part.

My boys like Snake, but they understand him too. I think Ryo wants to make some kind of project about him.

God a kid for a kid, no real prospects for gainful employment. Very sad.

I'm willing to let them try. Ryo is good with people. Surprisingly he has good social skills, for a 16 year old.

having to take that on. I just don't think it would work. But God love 'em if that is what they want to do...

They're hearts are in the right place. I'm not sure what they can do, but sometimes just being a good friend is all this really takes. No samD I'm not saying you gave me any such impression.

aware of. He's funny and he doesn't even try and isn't even aware of it. He's smart and he even has moments of astonishing brilliance. He does realize when that happens. There's a line from an old movie the boys love that he quotes when that happens. He says, "I've just had a scathingly brilliant idea!" It's really funny at first and then he explains the idea and you go, well why didn't I think of that?

Ryo says there's a good young man buried deep inside him. I understand what he's saying. I wonder if a little Aikido practice could do the trick? It's great for teaching an undisciplined mind how to self discipline itself. My boys are quite expert at this martial arts form.
