Nope, I believe in the Lord our God. Even Satan had to ask permission to mess with Job.

DC,Yep. There is a Ralph's supermarket in the San Fernando Valley that I have been to several times lately. I just found out most of our guys think it is haunted. Now for some reason, I'm the only one that takes service calls there, go figure!

possibility of Uncle Oren or my dearly missed Mom ever taking the form of a ghost like the kind you would see in a "spook" movie. When the body dies the soul is in what you may call a "off mode". Nothing happens, no wondering around wearing a sheet saying boooo. On judgement day those who make the cut are arisen and those who don't stay as is, no eternal life for them.

And yet some believe

in purgatory, or limbo, or immediate judgement, all based off the same novel. Wonderful way to make money and influence people, religion.

You work enough mid shift patrols in a post that has been around since the 1800s and has been "ground zero" for two worldwide epidemics of cholera and influenza, you'll see some weird shit, but as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing on Earth that can't be taken out with a big enough bullet, moving at a fast enough speed.

That's the west gate.

It goes out toward Parker Canyon Lake. I've only used it once, when I went over the mountains by the Coronado National monument in Hereford and ended up at the lake. That was a fun drive, going around the switchbacks in pouring rain. I don't patrol on this post, I'm a worthless little desk sergeant who works 12-15 days a month, eight hours a day. I saw some weird shit while patrolling Ft Riley, KS. That place had some hisory.

I won't go into much detail, as it bores me, but there are definitely things on that post that weird me out.

I lived there for a bit, but most of my adventures were in Junction City, or as Manhattan people call it, "The Junk".

that guard shack was really neat..old original rock. and smelled old on the inside.. last time i went thru was in the mid 80's and im not sure it was even maned.. For real..ask some of the old timers, but pretty sure it was an unmanned post then.. anyway neat.
