I tried to do a Mexican BBQ, but them fuckin beans kept falling through the grill.

Happy Memorial Day! Do you play today? Thank you for doing it, it tears and tears me up everytime that I hear taps.
We had a cookout yesterday because of rain threatening today. One of the thing we did was join in a circle and say a prayer for all our service men and women in harm's way overseas. We had chicken and hamburgers and bratwurst and all the fixings on the grill by the pool. It was lots of fun. Also because the rain held off for the 3rd and 4th rounds of the shooting tournament for our club's under age 18 group we were able to conduct a very fun one! My little brother moved up into the the 2 event he is enter in and is now in first place with the final round to be held next sunday. At the cookout he get bottle of beer pour over his head for shooting so well. Ryo laugh self silly to see that!

Yes, I sound Taps at the local memorial wall, then go to the National Cemetery, co-located at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, where I sound taps at the ceremonial gazebo, [where the Military Funeral Honors Ceremonies are held]. That is sort of my "duty station".
My duty is to make people cry when they hear those 24 notes, and hopefully experience some real closure.
Our mission is to give every honored vet a live rendition of Taps, rather than permit a boombox, or worse--the fake digital bugle, from dishonoring the ceremony.
Good for you; I thank you for that.
an old crow could do so much good
I thank you for your "thank you". It is my honor to do this work, and some day, one of my buglers will do the same for me.[Hopefully, not too soon, LOL]
