Yes it is the Rem 700 in 30-06 with a 3x9x40 scope and bipodputs a hurting on the piggys hopefully some deer soon also
Seems to me pigs would be a nice warm up for deer season!! My cousin went pig hunting on the Kali central coast and didn't even get a chance to take a shot. He just bought an AR in 6.8. He had to pay for tags. In Kali we pay for EVERYTHING. The taxpayers pay for everything that is.
it is great way to keep the skills going, not one of the easiest hunts i have been on have a cayote hunt coming up also. some of the guys around hear and in the south hunt with dogs and kill with knives. should be able to find some you tube vids of it
Virginia Scout-dogs and knives? Oh HELL NO!
Everyone has their preferences, of course. I always enjoyed deer hunting, but as far as eating goes, I'd a hundred times rather have a pig.
BOB, I'm all about BACON BACON BACON! How are you tonight? Up late??
No, it's not late. I rarely go to bed before 2 AM. I'm retired!
I was never a morning person, though. My dad was up every day of his working life at 4:30 AM. When I was a kid, by the time it got to almost 6 AM, he was in a rant, and would come in my room and yell at me, or grab the bed & flip it over, putting me on the floor with the bed on top of me. One of the many reasons we had problems. My mother wasn't so violent - she'd come in, pull the covers down off of me, and pour cold water all over my crotch. That will wake you up!
Bob, too funny. Reminds me of a joke my Dad played on me the first time I went camping. I was used to sleeping in. My Dad was always out of the house by 3:30, he built pools for 40 (or so) years. Anyways, I was in the tent on a cot, when all of a sudden I was on the ground and didn't know why. I figured I rolled over and upset the cot. I went back to sleep. Happened again! I scratched my head and decided to hide my head and stay awake. About ten minutes later I caught my Dad peaking in the tent reaching for the cot. That was over 40 years ago.
