Walmart in the U.S. announced that sometime in 2010, it will begin offering customers a new discount item --
its own store-brand of wine.
The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery of California to produce the wine
at an affordable price in the $2.00-$3.50 range.
Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of Walmart brand into their shopping carts,
but "there is a market for inexpensive wine," said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at the University of Arkansas ,
"and the right name is important."
Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the Walmart wine brand. The top surveyed names in order of popularity were:
10. Chateau Traileur Parc
9. White Trashfindel
8. Big Red Gulp
7. World Championship Riesling
6. NASCARbernet
5. Chef Boyardeaux
4. Peanut Noir
3. I Can't Believe it's not Vinegar
2. Grape Expectations
1. Nasti Spumante
The beauty of Walmart Wine is that it can be served with either white meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel).
P.S. Don't bother writing back that this is a hoax. I know possum is not a white meat.

Can't be any worse than the $1.49/gallon Red Mountain burgundy that we used to drink in CA in the 1960's. It's only virtue was that it was 20% alcohol. It worked on hippie chicks!

with my housemates. $1.49 + .06 tax. $1.55 for a whole gallon. Boy those were the days of hellacious hangovers.

Sometimes that was real puke-omatic! Back then, though, when I got to feeling nauseous, I'd just go outside, put my finger down my throat & get rid of it, then go back in and start drinking again.
I can still vividly remember those days - the parties, the music, the women! In a lot of ways, the best days of my life.
Monday mornings were sons of bitches, though!

The Ft Sam PX had this wine. Not bad...then again I would not know the difference. Also try the military special rum. 2.99 for a big ass bottle. Works great on stripping shine off boots. Then again we no longer need to shine boots.......just drink it. What a hang over.

Had this explained to me years ago by a "zero" .. Can't remember why this Officer took the time, but remember the lesson.. A chemist draws a breakdown of items in Liquor like Schuyler would diagram a sentence.. you guys remember the black board with all the past subjunctive crap on it.. Ok, deal is Chemists do the same thing. and the "purer" the alcohol.. the shorter that "chain" is..The shorter the chain the less the hangover ..So as well as being "smooth", its also a lot less likely to cause hang overs if ya drink the good stuff..
I have no idea if this holds with beer as well.. cheap beer does not seem to ever give me a hangover, and honestly i like the taste just fine.. Amazing huh.. I know you all thought i was one of those Beer and cheese snobs.. sorta swirl one of the $11.00 a 30 pack around.. sniff the can.. make comments like ... "hmm Bubba..this one seems to have a bit more "nose" than than duther one".. at which point brother Bubba swirls his can and says "yup, but this here ones bouquet is sure nuff nice" .. and of course we then smash the beer cans against our foreheads.. A feat that has lost its magic in these days of modern thin aluminum..
Should you feel guilt ridden, at receiving this information, and need to return the favor, a bottle of Crown Royal at Christmas will make up for it..

On "Modern Marvels" they said the impurities in the alcohol are what give you the hangover. So the more pure it is the less likely you are to have a headache.
greg az
The "chain" thing is just Chemist talk for impurities.. every thing added, and all the impurities is exactly what he was diagramming .. It really did look exactly like an English lesson (i remember cause i hate them) at any rate yep.. the more impurities the longer the "chain" that winds up being diagram and the more hangover.
