Washing a HMMWV the fun way

Washing a HMMWV the fun way

I made friends with some Air Force firefighters on my last deployment. I'd take them to the test fire pit and let them blow off extra rounds from the crew served and they let me play with fire hoses and crash trucks. I thought I was going to get in trouble one day when an Air Force security guy walked up while we were firing into the test fire pit (You're only supposed to fire a burst or two before rolling out, not a few hundred rounds just because), but he asked if he could bring his dog over to get used to gunfire. Boy, that dog had plenty to get used to that day.

washing a hummer

Beats the hell out of the way we had to wash 'em...course we'd sneak into town and use the car wash. Could piss harder than the hose on base. Paid the guy at car wash a little extra..he even cleaned the mud out of the bay for us.

you look like a excited 12 yr old kid spraying the neighbor kids with a super soaker!I have played around with fire equipment(worked on alot of military fire equipment)and had a blast playing with the hoses.get a co worker to sit on a creeper in a motor pool and hit him with the hose in the back and he would haul as across the motor pool!great fun on hot,90 degree days.

Doc and greasy

In OIF 1, we did almost everything on the economy. We lived in an old university compound with the marines for part of it, then with the Spanish army for another part. Food, cigarettes, laundry, everything I did was in town. Grease, this was a lot of fun and a definite break from dealing with the locals. These Air Force guys were reservists, mostly firefighters from New York or New Jersey. One guy was part of a four man crew who went into one of the towers on 9/11. He was the only guy from that crew who made it out and when they recovered the others, one of the guys died while kneeling over two other people, trying to shield them from the collapse. I don't care what anyone says, firefighters are the real heroes in our society. One other good thing about these fellas is they were friends with some brit contractors who didn't have the same restrictions on what kind of party favors they could buy downtown and bring onto camp.

Okay, for the most part. It gets boring, but I can always find a way to have fun. My sense of humor has literally kept me from killing myself.

No, I can't.

The army didn't issue me that ability. Grrr, army.
