Weekend Shooting 450 Bushmaster

Weekend Shooting 450 Bushmaster

I finally shot my 450 Bushmaster Upper. Traded a older Ak for it so I could keep in tradition with my AR-15 Obsession and have a AR to hunt with. Kicked like a trap gun. I was used to a .556 so the kick surprised me but was manageable. BUT THE ACCURACY WAS INSANE. Clovers at 200. Poking holes in holes at 100.
What will I hunt with it- anything I want!

Cheap scope...

The scope I used this week was a Bushnell 3X9 by 'Banner'. Its one of those scopes that came with your spotting scope. It was free, but works. I could barely see the 200 marker with it. But I will keep it on for hunting. Why spend on a leupold if the 'free' bushnell gets the job done.. Plus I am broke due to excessive gun spending.

Good shooting and good info. I'm trying to make up my mind between a 450 Bushmaster or a .50 Beowulf. Certainly not because I need it but I like the idea of a multi-purpose platform for my AR. Do you forsee any future modifications in your lower?

I had no problems with the lower. The trigger is a DPMS and is really soft compared to my Olympic arms ar lower.
I was going to the 50 Beowulf until wonderful New York State Assembly decided to BAN all 50 caliber firearms. Senate has not passed it yet but I did not want to buy a 50 cal then need to turn it in.
The 50 is a close range round out to 100 yards. I was looking to reload and 452 is a more popular reloading bullet than the 50 AE.
Let me know if you get a Beowulf, I was pretty fascinated with it.
