congrats! now you have to feed it. She looks hungry! Oh, and she's naked. Get her a sling pronto.
By the way, I just added the troy mudular grip to mine a few months back. I have the bottom screwed off, so its in snubbie mode... but I like it, its really solid.
zx12rmike
reaper, this is a Troy Modular grip also. I will be trying it out in stubby style too!

Nice Mike, when will it be complete?

Thanks everybody! I am very happy. There is a small problem with the MI front sight and they said they would send me another one. If you ever do business with Midwest Industries, I sent them an email about my problem on Sunday morning around 10 am. They sent me a reply on a Sunday at 1030, can you believe that! I am very close to having enough for an Eotech 512. I do plan on putting a sling, and an adjustable pistol grip. I need to do some research about the gas block rail not being a standard size. It's the one that came with the upper. I might have to change it. I will tell you, for a Kali gun and only 10 rounds, she moves very good. My wife thinks I'm nuts. She was so paranoid when I had the clip in a wanted her to hold it for a pic. I told her it was loaded (NOT,I'm not that crazy!) My buddies have a trip planned for the second week of October for a trip out to the desert for shootin' cans! Of course I won't be waiting that long before slinging some lead.

Mike this is to cool.. Really glad you finally got what you wanted and worked for... and great that you completed the project.. a lot of us start stuff, and for what ever reason (usually bucks) we dont finnish up..
In that respect your sorta like Hamp.. Still can't believe how quick he did lumpy.. anyway great job and can't wait to see pics from the desert.. Assuming your heading out with the friend who's piece you have in your pic right..
zx12rmike
greg You are correct sir! I need to change my avatar pic to show my rifle, thanks for reminding me!! How have you been brother? I have been wondering what is going on with you and your brother? I would be a little farther along with the project, but, I have a tight budget. I have to move my family back to LA and we need all the cash we can get our hands on for now. I will be (allowed) to continue the project after the family is back together again. Very glad to see you today greg!

zx12mike, if you get an eotech, may I recommend a LaRue quickmount for it. Very well made and you can pull the thing on and off very easily and you won't loose zero when you do.
zx12rmike
catfeesh, Thanks I will be looking up the Larue Quick mount right now. The one thing I won't do is buy something cheap just to finish my project. It's hard to wait (especially for me, my kids are 18, 17, 15 if you know what I mean!!) I do have the will power to wait until I can get a good deal or I have the money to buy.
catfish88
Well zx12mike, LaRue is top notch as far as quality goes. But they are a bit pricey.
zx12rmike
catfeesh... I value the word of mouth for quality rather than just going by sales ads, so Thanks buddy. I am a do-it-yourself kind of guy. If it means still getting zero with me being able to remove it, that's all I needed to hear!!

Your Welcome Mike.

Man was that a "thank the Lord" deal.. brother is now out of ICU, and heading by ambulance (routine no code) to Sierra Vista where he'll be at a nursing home for the next month (this part is up in the air) to mend before he returns home.. We were discussing a goal, and decided on a fishing trip to Roosevelt lake before winter. Got on our site, and the troops are talking about camping.. must have been meant to be..
Sheesh sorry bout the LA thing.. maybe its for the best, wife's family etc, sure hope so.
zx12rmike
God is good greg, great news about your brother! awesome!! Hopefully someday he'll stop by gunslot and say Hi!!
Thanks greg. as far as LA it is what it is. No choice. At least we will all be together in misery lol

The final product looks good Mike!
We appreciate your business on the upper and just let us know if you need anything else.
