the tornados will chase you!

we used to chase them in KS. Pretty wild when they start ripping out electrical poles. Looks like you're in the middle of a combat zone at night

born in TX, raised in IL, came to AZ in 78.. Sorta like bud, always been fascinated with them.. The only time I've ever seen one was from an elevated guard tower in Florence.. it was maybe 10 miles or so away, stayed on the ground for awhile, but guessing like a F1.. Nothing serious.
Vaq thats a good looking pup..guessing thats dixies trailer right.

If you hook up to the trailer, Dixie loads and rides.
I reckon she has claim to it.

Be back shortly.

I grew up in Clay Cty in north TX, kind of a "tornado alley". They came down the Red River, and down the Big Wichita River (a tributary). We had 'em every year. If I never see another one, that's soon enough. One of my classmates dads was killed in one, the wife and young child of a young guy I knew very well was killed a mile and a half from my house. A huge one came through Wichita Falls, TX; it was almost a mile wide. Did incredible damage. We had a storm cellar by our house (my grandpa dug it), so we could go into that when they came close. My mother thought they were fascinating, so she'd stand outside the cellar and watch them come close, and watch the damage. All the while my dad just going nuts, his blood pressure going through the roof, yelling for her to get her ass in the cellar.

a tornado that touched down in Manti a few years back? Then there was the one that hit down town SLC and killed some people, we get em here but pretty rarely.

Have you noticed how "regions" have their own version of tornado alley?
Ours came out of the canyon heading west and sliced north.
Now, these are the category 1 types.
A real regular occurrence.
I believe geography has something to do with development and path.
Just too damn common to be atmospheric influence only.
