Over the last few months, we have been inundated with coverage of the Obama administration’s lawsuit against Arizona, and U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton’s various rulings which have blocked key parts of the state’s immigration law known as SB1070. However, the coverage has been non-existent following last week’s decisions.
On Friday, Judge Bolton rejected the Justice Department’s challenge to the section of SB1070 that makes it a state offense to transport illegal aliens.
Bolton also dismissed multiple suits challenging the law, filed by private parties. Those plaintiffs included a group of Phoenix police officers, and two open-borders advocacy organizations (Chicanos Por La Causa and the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders).
Following the favorable rulings, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer told reporters: “I am pleased with today's decision. I strongly believe that the citizens of Arizona will ultimately prevail in all of these legal challenges. My defense of the rule of law will continue as vigorously as ever.”
While the press has covered with excruciating detail, every defeat meted out to Arizonans who want SB1070 implemented to stop the ongoing war on their state being waged by criminal aliens and drug cartel gunmen, that same press has simply ignored what many hope will be the first in a series of victories for the state.
Once again, the mainstream news media has shown itself to be completely fraudulent.
Apparently, the thought of police officers being allowed to arrest human traffickers is simply too distasteful for the liberal press to talk about.
