It's also a way for lazy, fat, stupid, rebellious kids that come from dysfunctional and/or broken homes to get attention.

Thanks SamD. I've heard people talking about them. And I even seen other pictures before and they always look miserable. I'm Brad by the way, nice to meet you. I enjoy your posts.

These people listen to the sad, poor-pitiful-me music where the singer whines about how daddy didn't love him/her and mommy didn't take him/her to soccer practice or cheer classes. they have found a style of music that embodies their twisted view of the world. A liberal view! They blame everyone else for their screwed up life and never take responsibility for their own actions. They dress like a circus freak and blame YOU for them not being able to get a date on the weekends.

In otherwords... EMO=tittybaby.

Thanks blues. That explains it. I wish they would just go ahead and jump off of that bridge if they can't handle life. They obviously have no idea of what real suffering is, if they can't deal with simple dissapointments in life. On another note, ettowah is a nice place, I"m from around knoxville myself. Take care.

I work in Sevierville and commute through there. You are right, Etowah is a sweet little town. My own personal Mayberry.

My oldest son got wrapped up in that EMO shit for awhile. He wore the black clothes, grew his hair out, starting wearing make-up yes I said make up. Marked up his arms like he had tried to commit suicide, watched movies with lots of vampires blah blah blah. My wife let him do it because it was just a fad. I told my wife this shit is dangerous. For young people(he is 17) they will do anything to be part of a group. If someone in that group starts convincing the kids to do drugs, steal, rape it's a peer pressure thing but a lot worse. They mope around and act depressed, then want the attention. I asked him "why", one day when the wife was not around.
#1 It started with some little bitch at school that wanted some attention.
#2 That got him more attention, the wrong kind of course.
#3 Family members were asking me questions, I used the "it's a phase" thing.
i finally took him out in the back yard and threatened to show him what's up and explained to him he doesn't have anything to be depressed about. He says I don't have this and don't have that. I told him do you think acting like a vampire freak of society is going to get you anything except a boot out the door? He gave up this bullshit and is going to classes to become an electrical engineer. No more drama, the little drama bitch is gone and my wife no longer thinks we have a possible suicide in our house. This EMO thing was a pain in my ass for about two years..

Maybe I'm a bad parent

but if I ever catch my son dressing like that, I'm going to give him a reason to be sad. Holy shit, that is disturbing. I guarantee that thing's parents allow it to lock its bedroom door and they respect its privacy. Screw that, my home is a dictatorship, a police state. just like my parents' house was.

There was one day when my son tells my wife, "Dad doesn't love me anymore". When my told me that I said get his ass down here right now. I looked him in the face and said, first i want to talk to my son and not this piece of shit I'm looking at right now. I do love you, but I don't like this thing you are doing. You, not me, you-changed the dynamics of this family with this crap you're pulling. When you change back to my son, then things will get back to normal. I wanted to hit him so hard and knock the bullshit, makeup and my memory out of him. I managed to get through this without child protective services scheduling visitations, but it was close. I did threaten to take him to Nebraska and drop him off, then they changed the damn law!

I would be sad too

if I looked like this FREAK. A couple of kids at my work dress like that,
wear dog collars and shit and they are puzzled as to why everyone
treats them like the freaks they are....Beyond belief.
