It's a great hunting rifle, especially for deer or, in some cases, Bear's. It shoots with overwhelming accuracy and you won't be disappointed at the 500 yard range, it's a good sniping rifle to have around. The barrel is extremely well made, I've had a few Savage rifles before but none of them shot 3.08, It shoots far and hits hard. So far maintenance wise I haven't had any troubles with the rifle, but I did have to dick around with the scope a bit to get it on target, but it's not the first time I've had to-do that. This rifle with a good scope makes for a great long-range weapon.
