I bought this pistol from my brother who purchased it new in 83. I've added millet adjustable sights, kimber rose wood panels, Barsto match grade barrel, Solid guide rod, wolf springs, bullet proof slide release and barrel bushing, and four 8 round Wilson combat magazines.
The finish is wearing thin in places but I think I'll have it Duracoated Flat black for the slide and olive green for the frame this summer.
I highly recommend the 1911 as a carry gun or for home defence. With a .22 kit, you can practice cheapy with the gun you carry. Several nice converions are availible for under $250.00.
