Performance

For how the gun shoots...I did not do any tests with blocks and rigs, but I did shot a helleva lot of rounds through it. It is a clean enough action. Not as smooth as some of the new S&W but clean enough. The durability can not be knocked by me yet, It has not failed or broke through the 500 rounds we used so far (recommended 200 round break in period). There will be some kick to it even though it is only a 9mm, this is a downside but the kick is only slightly higher than expected so it's not too bad.
Features

This is probably where I will talk about the issues I have with this gun. I do not like the disassembling of the gun. You have to hold the slide back in an awkward position to push out the slide lock. This will release the slide so a pull of the trigger separates the two pieces. I also do not like the extra button on/in the back of the slide required you release the cover. Basically its a bitch to take apart fully. I do not like how tough it is to pull back. My wife has trouble racking the slide of this 9mm compact. I wish it was like the Bersa thunder 9 and had a whisper glide style slide. this Kahr is one of the toughest slides I have felt for a 9mm. The magazine design also makes the last round loaded hard to position correctly.
Appeal

This is a plain jane everyday black and stainless pistol. Nothing super-duper about the appearance.
Summary
I bought this for the wife as her first gun. She likes the way it feels but I have some issues with it

All things considered, I will give this gun a 7.5 The wife likes how it feels and it is small enough for her. The gun has not misfired or malfunctioned yet through the 500 rounds but that is only 500 rounds. There are some problems as stated above that I would like to see fixed and will probably be looking for a weaker recoil spring and hope that when I take it to the "Range-o-Fathers Backyard" the weaker spring still allows the gun to function correctly. For the price of this gun I believe there are better options out there. However, this is just my humble opinion, you make sure to decide for yourself. Every gun and every person are different.

The one I checked out at Gander Mtn. 1) Magazine difficult to remove 2) Did not have enough strength to rack slide.
Why they had it on display baffles me. The clerk could not rack the slide either .
