The Rifle was manufactured to be fired mainly in automatic, which is great for its original 7.62x39 round, but it has bad accuracy, But the object was that eventually one of those VERY powerful 7.62 rounds will hit your target, and unlike other calibers (5.56mm, 2.23) when it hits someones body, it'll hit it with overwhelming firepower, and it only takes one shot to kill in the chest, unlike the other calibers where it may take several to merely bring someone down (All depends on the shooter I presume)

You sacrifice great accuracy for great firepower and durability, the ammo is manufactured widely and cheap too. If you've got the cash (They're fairly cheap, especially since its an assault rifle, $500-750 easy) I recommend buying one, you won't regret it.
