Hi-point C9 review

Performance: 8

After loading the 8 round clips and letting them sit for 2 weeks, the gun works flawlessly without jamming. nice rapid fire grouping with minimal recoil. Good trigger feel but is a little on the heavy side compared to other guns. Gun is not partial to a particular type or brand of ammo which is nice.

Many safety features which is the main reason i bought this gun. it has a mag safety, slide open saftey and plates that block the pin to prevent the pistol from accidental discharge from dropping it. slide is a little stiffer to pull back which i also consider a safety feature. (little kids) also it is double action only so you dont have to worry about dicocking problems. also has optional 10 round mags and compensator. no weaver rail like other brands so there is no laser option unless you used a trigger guard mount. very nice adjustable sights and included optional ghost sight as well as a child safety lock.

This pistol is pretty much straight to the point with a business look. it is not the nicest looking gun out there, but if your are buying a gun based on looks, you have your own issues to resolve. grip feels good and is a general nice compact design especially for someone with smaller hands.

Overall, the hi-point c9 is a great gun. Great safety features to prevent accidents. ( remeber to always keep a trigger lock and store the weapon away from minors) Should not be considered a poor gun just because of the price. You want to waste more money then go ahead. It will put the same hole in anything a more expensive gun will. The lifetime no questions asked warranty is excellent. Made in the USA with pride, you cant say that for most things anymore. Perfect for someone that wants a defensive home use weapon or just getting into shooting. The price wont break the wallet and you WILL be impressed. I dont like thowing money away but I also wont buy junk. Hi-point is a perfect gun for the money.
