Another video of a guy getting smacked with the scope. looks like it hurt...
Simple fix!! Hold the butt against the sholder tighter!!! Had he been standing, the weapon mostlikely would have been droped. I looked at it again, he had enough eye relief and not enough sholder!
go back to shooting 101!!
stalk under the armpit_______asking for trouble. I'd like to see that dude shooting a 12ga with 3" Magnums, that would be a hoot!!
It would be a trip to the emerigency room, for stitches!!
That damn 12ga LE 870 that I have, will rattle yer Ancesters with Mag loads!!
LMFAO how does that happen !!!!!
I had not seen this until just now. I replayed it several times to see if I could see the things mentioned by other posters. I agree with Hamp on this. It appears that the butt doesn't even contact his shoulder prior to firing. That is a recipe for "scope eye" if I have ever seen one. I got the impression that the guy doesn't do a lot of shooting. One thing I was taught early on, and I also teach it to anyone I am teaching how to shoot, and that is the butt needs to be tucked tightly to the shoulder. A .22 rifle has no recoil, yet, I make it a practice to tuck that into my shoulder also. I think that besides reducing felt recoil, it gives you a steadier aim. Maybe someone else has an idea on this.
