WOW...Thanks for the memory's.. A lot of those scenes (as you guys could see from the uniform patches) were filmed in AZ.. the canal at the end is up behind central unit, and the view looking out of the control room is one of the SMU's..

Anyway a great way to start my Tuesday, and thanks.. Maybe we better list who's corrections on here.. I retired 6 years ago from the Arizona State DOC.. I know Bauer is going for his tests, i think bigg'n (bigshot nobody) has worked Corrections... Who else..

Southern Fella.. That names to long brother.. I'm gonna call you southguy from now on... So whats the scoop did you work behind wire..

when I was younger. Had it a few years. I would take people who were tossed OUT of prison with no future. I NEVER sought anyone out of prison,, but when they were let out (and their families might have been relatively in tact still) they were told about me and my place. I would teach them and help them to get their CDL's and good work and how not to use crime as an option to solve their problems. I showed them how to read the Bible and begin a path of relying on their King and Friend.

Special note,,, the only people I had in my house were murderers. No robbers or embezzlers. 6 murderers. I never lost a nights sleep either.

Problem though Greg (sorry to say) I have had WAY too many free trips to jail myself for being a NON criminal,,,, and the disrespect for humanity is thickest there. Absolutely NO decency (save once when I went to the Major and talked with him as I suspected I was going to end up there one way or another during a custody battle and sure enough...) but still I was there for days, then OR'd. Another note I have ALWAYS been OR'd out but it takes days sometimes and the disrespect is sometimes beyond forgivable.

I know that CO's deal with the dregs of society,,, and I know a first year (or two Law enforcement newbie) gets County Jail Duty before Patrol,, then what happens is he hits the streets with a gun and a badge and a temper to help the public. It is the way it is done here, I hate it. Only in this little town have I found common courtesy and good christian discernment in the officers. We have a real good Sheriff and Police Chief.

Sorry, I'm done with my rant. As you can tell I only just got out of one of those free trips to jail, and extradition, for a manufactured/falsified charge. (ex-cop ....ex-wife)

really Greg,,, I'm sorry, I apologize (but I think I'll leave this post up) My kids hate what has happened to me too,,, it always scares and upsets them. But they have their Bible comparatives now that they are old enough to understand this is what happens to Christians throughout history. We scratch for every penny now and the last defense (that was thrown out of court in two appearances) cost me all the money I had saved up to buy my daughter her Harp.

It is alright now,, I have a borrowed/rented one

I'll stop now

that may be the stupidest thing ive ever read, you honestly belive that anyone in law enforcment is out to get you? we have families, freinds and our own lives, we got into the feild because it is honest work, we put our lives on the line to put food on the table, if you keep having these issues with cops, then maybe its time to look at yourself in the mirror and stop hiding behind the fake ass jesus routine that is so popular for criminals, I dont care if you happen to own a bible, if you truly read it and follow it then you wouldnt have the issues you do.

we all have a chance in life, and if you would grow up and take responsibility for your own life you dont have to worry about paying lawyers to get you out of your own shit holes.

dont tell people they are bad for going to work to provide for their family or protect their neighbor your a sick person.

dang, now that im level headed and reading this, sorry man, one thing about it though is that you can go to the acadamy for corrections or to be a street cop in florida, not really a do one then after a few years the other, I only say that because if they did it like that I belive you wouldnt have false charges being pressed, I mean you get tased so you think twice before using it and you should work in a prison enviroment before being allowed to send others there. I have personally seen other wise decent people maybe in on a DL being suspended who have to see the things that go on inside the gate and there going to have to deal with the things they saw for the rest of there lives, if you work there all you have to do is leave - cant do that if your a resident.

but now that im done going off topic, sounds like you ran on some bad luck, but just remember in the end we all get what we really deserve, so itll all come back around for ya. agin I hate being rude to those that dont deserve it, sorry.

My computers so slow it disappeared.. i remember seeing you responded so i brought it up on the way out the door.. Glad i did.. New found respect for you.. If you haven't had some of the experiences your talking about someone reading it wouldn't understand.. i have, and do..

I was hired under the old system where having a record wasn't considered a problem.. Sorta an indication you knew the streets, and could function in a Prison setting.. When we transitioned to Glocks in the early mid 90's we also changed to the same hiring profile as the LE community.. so i was "grandfathered" in.. I saw both sides of how corrections works, and there's two things most forget, 1) just about everyone of them get out, Prisons can't be a training ground...2) But for the grace god there go I..

Greg yes,,, Thx

I'll all familiar with that transition. From when I was young till old,,, our Troop was overseen by Detectives of the Force and Servicemen from the Navy/Marine Base nearby. I have been around cops all my life. I'm very active in my Sheriff's Dept too (I know you knew that) with the Piping. And working two jobs, for years, both owned by retired and injured in the line of duty former Law Enforcement.

But I too would get first hand the chatter about how 'Police State' things were moving even from those I knew on the force.

Thanks for getting my back. I will always be anti-Liberal, anti-Socialist, and Anti-Roman Christianity. Pro-Biblical, Pro-Constitution, Pro-Family, Pro-Judeo Christian

to your good reputation. You are always in the right place at the right time. I will forgive southern for his newbie remarks.

Southern you demonstrate the exact complaint I mentioned. You would be the one with the 'God syndrome' inside. I was raised right and am even a lifelong Scouter with 4 Palms over Eagle. Smoke on that.!.

Greg,, I ranted because I fear for fellow Christians and My Own children in these last days when this could be visited on them.

Southern,,, maybe visit here a lot more before you post again.

I'm holding myself back big time right now.. I hope all the Men in this room will note and appreciate how bigg'n handled that comment that attacked everything from his character to fundamental beliefs..

I note that southern is 21.. and i note that he's brand new to the room so he has no idea who are what we all are.. I also note that he's getting a VERY big break right now..

Southern.. Take some time before you respond to this... I/we appreciate that you don't know big shot, and it could be easy to misunderstand.. To tell you that you did is an understatement. Take a peak at our profiles.. One room rule is we are EXACTLY what we say we are.. We all post pics etc to show that. Most all of us are pretty serious Men.. Lot of Vets, Military, LE a serious group of Alpha Males..

You didn't get slam dunked as we like your posts, and you seem to be our sorta guy.. But the attack on Bigg'n was pretty harsh.. Hope to see you man up, correct it, and join the room with the matter forgotten..

Duly noted greg,

I likely would not have been as patient...........Southern, Bigshot is a stand up guy (the kind we like around here), I have spent a fair amount of time talking to him on and off site to vouch for that.......Not to mention he is a BIG dude!

Southern,

sorry to hear of your bad news.........But the majority of us here 'pay attention' to what we comment on, there is rarely any misunderstanding......Rarely is the opperative word, however I digress.........I have been on the 'other' side of the law a time or two in my day's as have most of us.....I ain't no Dudley Do Right......But they still let me carry a gun, that's a good thing!

laughing..actually the grand kids were up this last weekend, and i picked up a cold or some sorta bug from one of the little snots.. Their starting to be really fun. Got that emerging 6 year old personality, and i can now kid with them.. Anyway sore throat so couldn't sleep...

Hey i have a gun question for the room... Hamp has me intrigued.. you know i like WWII pistols, and his interest in WWII battle rifles is great.. i can see a SMLE, and a 1903 to round out the group.. Heres the question.. Whats up with the Japanese rifles.. i know the 99 Arisaka (sp?) is a 7.7 X 58 (i think) and i see them advertised, but where i have hundreds of stories and a lot of interaction with the other battle rifles, i know NOTHING about the Jap piece, and don't know anyone who does.. Why is that.. Anyone have some info here..

Greasy, Hamp your not the only ones with pms
