I did this so you don't have to...lol
Is he still around or what..
"Well my rig's a little old,
But that don't mean she's slow.
There's a flame from her stack,
And the smoke's rolling black as coal"
gona have to get myself a CB radio..
he say's he has 10 forward gears and a Georgia overdrive. What is a Georgia overdrive?
for putting the truck in neutral and coasting down long hills
A truckers log book is DOT and required to be
up to date at all times.
When my brother was a Texas Highway Patrolman (30 yrs)
when he stopped a truck and everything was in good shape
he would let a driver slip on a log book. Not really LOL
He would take their DL and tell them he would be back in
2 hours. If the log was caught up they got to go.
golden gear knob Hamp
a good remake of this.
This was when we had the chevy truck adds on the screen.. i looked up one time a couple days ago and noticed it said exhaust brakes.. Don't know how they did this and kept the noise down, but obviously they did..
I see signs on almost every city limit sign in Texas
NO JAKE BRAKES
and half these idiots driving don't have a clue on how to use them and keep em on all the time.
I'm not surprised someone hasn't engineered them into a production truck before.. Should be interesting..
Man what beautiful work.. outstanding.. couple of things.. what scale did you use, are the plans out there for this, or did you have to work them up, and any guess at how many hours are invested.. Really nice, and i agree with Lucky, love the look of the natural wood.. did you use a little wasco oil here or what?
Nope i had not heard that, so when i saw the add figured it was a first..my old F250 sounds like im running jake brakes.. Guess holes in the exhaust manifold arent going to help compression breaking huh...
I have no idea of the scale . I get my plans at http://toysandjoys.com/. As for the time well just say alot lol probably around 20 to 30 hours all told. But I just worked on it in my spare time. it was a christmas present to him since he pays me to maintain his rig for him.
for the finish i just used a clear gloss so dust and shit wouldn't stick to it.
ha ha.. ENJOY.. don't see a comment from you on here and thought "maybe" you hadn't seen it.
