i had the knowledge that desert eagle is one of the most deadly guns. is it true?

I saw a video on you tube where I guy unloaded a D.E 50ae to kill a 600lb wild hog. It was insane that hog did not give up.

a buddy of mine raised domestic pigs, we had to put down a 2 year old boar, he used a custom 300 wind mag, it took 5 shots before it was dead. When it was all said and done we had 660 lbs of meat in the freezer. The point I'm making is ... they're tough sob's to kill!

i have raised hogs for meat for the family.to put them out for slaughter i use a 10/22 with CCI Velocitors!put the barrel in the ear.they go down,no pain no gain.dead is dead.i have never in ten years and more than 30 hogs have i ever had to shoot one more than once!BULLET PLACEMENT IS THE KEY! man or beast!

I'm just curious as to why only load 2 shots, to much to handle, too expensive or just for video purposes

Good gun to shoot but whats up with the gold makes it look less like a bad ass gun and more like something out of a austin powers movie.

they probly only load two shots in it cuz they dont jamb as much with less rounds i got rid of my desert eagle cuz it jammed all the time i was told it was from limp wristing but im 6 4 250 i can handle the recoil i traded it for my spas 12 there nice but heavy and unreliable i paid 1300 new

Would you recommend this for a defense weapon? Or in your opinion is this only good for a hobby marksman?

Desert Eagle 50, is fun to shoot and yes it does have some recoil when fired. LOL You can only shot jacketed bullets thru the pistol because of the gas systems it uses.

That is cool. I thought about buying one because of it's stopping ower only but it is to heavy and to exspensive to shoot all the time.

yup i did. it is like a Ring. never seen that with any rifle, probaly because of the muzzle break.

I have shot three different desert eagles 2 in .44 mag. and one in .357 mag. all three sucked. They all jammed no matter what you did. We finally got one .44 to fuction correctly when we did some really hot hand loads. I would rather buy 2 Glocks and a couple hundred rounds of ammo.

Now YOU tell me why would anyone want one of these over endorsed hand-cannons? I have a model 29 Smith & Wesson to hunt whitetail deer with and it is a two handed weapon and getting back on target for a fast 2nd shot is a NO GO folks. I own a .460 Smith & Wesson just in case your curious as to why I stated my thoughts on this Desert Eagle.

I have seen those 50 cal Desert Eagles and it must have been some Hollywood GEEK Director that put them in the movies etc. Now as a Self-Defense weapon, My Kimber model 1911 will have at least 3 shots in your torso before you even rebound from the recoil of your first shot.

My Glock model 29 10mm caliber will have 4 shots in your torso and damage report will be twice that of the 45acp to your heart and lungs, all shots will no doubt exit too. Desert Eagles are for little boys to dream about until they become men and learn the true facts of life and what is a great self-defense weapon. GLOCK, KIMBER, SIG SAUER, H&K, SPRINGFIELD!!! There are even more manufacturers out there to choose your weapon.

A self-defense weapon must be totally reliable 100% of the time and put multiple shots on the target quickly. The 9mm Luger does this very well, so will the 40 caliber Smith & Wesson but I perfer the 10mm in my Glock 29 & 20 models. Now what other pistol manufacture has ever run 250,000 rounds through one of their pistols without a JAM, Hang UP I ask? NOBODY but GLOCK!

I agree with you on many points, but on my S&W .40 I always did not like them compared to the glock 23 .40, glock is just an amazing company, and the .50cal DE is a fun gun to use, but as stated it is not a very good self defense weapon. Also Hi Ball glad to see you picked a Kimber Model 1911, great gun for the cost.
