the F-22 is the replacement for the F-15 Eagle while the F-35 will be the replacement for the F-16.

My sis works at the plant where they make guidance systems for the f-22, among other things, she was told that all orders for new f-22 systems have been canceled as well as all spare part orders for those systems.

Nothing is as risky as certain failure.
