Fat Thug Cops Assault old Man For Holding Impeach Obama Sign in Public -Thanks to Lyle H

August 28, 2010 By eric This first day of the 2010 Alaska State Fair starts with sunny skies and a brutal assault by security personnel on an elderly (and apparently disabled) LaRouche supporter.

At about 5pm Alaska Time, Thursday, August 26, 2010, security personnel approach Sidney Hill, a lone man peacefully displaying an Impeach Obama sign near Pioneer Plaza on the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer. Minutes later, a crowd assembles, additional security forces arrive, and they physically assault the man holding the sign. He’s taken to the ground with force and detained.

An unidentified Alaska State Trooper arrives to physically disperse the crowd, and at several points during the conflict, crowd members yell in support of the demonstrator’s right to speak his message. The demonstrator’s personal firearm is confiscated by fair security, and he is held captive until Palmer police arrive to escort the man away in cuffs.

I hope that guy get's a big settlement, I have never seen such a blatant violation of a man's rights.

a discouraging word: Yes--thank heavens we have free speech. That being said, in most jurisdictions, we cannot yell "fire" in a crowded building, just for grins an giggles. More importantly, in many jurisdictions, shouting in a threatening manner, in the face of any private citizen or LEO, is considered some degree of assault [could be a midemeanor or maybe even a felony].. If that is true in Alaska, the free speech guy compromised his own message and at the very least was fined and perhaps got off with a suspended jail sentence.

rent-a-cops. And they're in a heap-o-trouble, I would guess.

I would have been more than willing to take a ride to jail for jackin those two 8 dollar an hour fat bags a crap - I cant believe that someone didnt challenge their so-called authority. The had no right to put their hands on that man.
I could have covered my bail and it would have been worth it to whip those two bullies. State Trooper? Are we sure? He flashed something that MIGHT have been a badge but he didnt act like real law enforcement - he was called by the POS security gaurds, so I wouldnt be surprised if he turned out to be a rent a cop as well.
I ALWAYS miss the really good stuff. Going to jail defending an old mans 1st amendment rights? Id be down for that. I guess I shouldnt say stuff like that, because Janet "no such thing as Jihad" Napolitano at Homeland Security says its vets like me who they really have to worry about, profile, investigate, etc...stinking traitors calling vets "homegrown terrorists" for loving the constitution and questioning the government.
The very fact that all those people just stood there and watched it happen makes me question the character of our citizens at a dangerous time in our history.

yes maybe technicaly he broke some minor law by shouting, but but he has the right to stand around with the banner if he wants.here in redding california a group stands outside abortion clinics with pictures of dead babies and nobody cares,or at least no cops come to arest them(and they loiter on public streetcorners)but i guess if you hold up a picture of a dead obama,or even a hitler obama like in the vid youd get a whole diferent reaction...(45 CALIBER) the problem with getting involved as much as i would want to is when you got to court for aiding a "criminal" and probably assult as well, is the loss of your own rights by doing so.unless your willing to go all the way its best to stand around video it and talk shit to the fat pigs and post it on you tube/present the evidence in court.Im suprised this happened in alaska!
