Thanks "ref".. that last hook was a tad low.. I will say that whoop whoop whoop officer woodie post was bout the funniest thing from last night.. Oh and Hamp, just read your comment bout pard and i being off and maybe we had a "life".. nah.. don't know what was happening up in the beav, but guessing he was worn out from work. Far as im concerned if the good Lord was handing them out last night i musta got out of line or something..
For what it's worth (hows the song go... absolutely nothing) i hope you guys are as happy as i am.. Sure, life has it's ups and downs.. doubt if any of us has reached "Nirvana" yet.. That being said i'm flat happy with my lot in life, and hope you guys are.. I bring this up cause a lot of my day to day happiness is based on this place, and you guys..
couple things i like about the state of affairs here. How great that we can have serious debate about issues with out anyone going south (last nights back and forth with LLE, and Daisy was a great read in ANY blog) Lot of this, and im not going to do the usual "IMHO" thing.. This is a fact, and a lot of it comes from the fact that everyone here is comfortable in their own skin..
Hard to generalize that sort of thing, but when you have a whole crowd of Alpha types..(what is that a "gaggle" of alphas..lol) including those of us past our prime.. Doesn't matter..When you have any group of guys of our type, that are as comfortable laughing about their failures, as tooting their own horn about success.. That's a good place to be..

From the 1st day I signed onto this outfit I knew it had some darn good folks onboard. Well, there have been a few nuggets, LOL.
No one really seems to be lookin' for a fight, that's fine w/me :<) I'll hang around as long as it stays this way.
What ever happened to "bearmeat" or "baremeet", whatever. A very lonely guy that irritated people to get some attention even if it is negative, poor bastard.
And the chick that posted the "beefcake" pictures of men? She was prolly okay as well but it was kinda creepy opening up a thread to find a pic of some 98% nekkid dude, yuck.
Anyway, just wanted to check in & say howdy b4 I go out and start laying in firewood from the rain, gonna get wet and cool over the next few days.

went to the Homeless Depot and picked up my shiny new 50 Gal. water heater ($413 all said and done, another firearm worth...lol), got it installed in about two and a half hours (it is much taller than my old one) so it required another trip to Homeless Depot for parts and a good bit of modification to 'shoehorn' it in to the existing plumbing .....At least it don't leak all over the Goddamn place, I will sleep better now knowing that it is sound, I was always worried about waking up to a swimming pool for a basement.
Greg, any time LLE makes an error in his grammar, no matter how small, one must be quick to act as it don't happen very often, same would apply to Schuyler if he were still around, anyone talked to him as of late?

I told Daisy that we were posting nude midget pictures to get him back..but not sure that would work with Schuyler.. Know he had a lot of respect for LLE.. (hint hint) think if he saw he was on more he might swing by..
I know this much, this place is better now than it ever was, and a lot of that goes to ISD, Saint, and of course our officer Woodie who is after all our PLO.. evening lean'r.. will see ya all in a bit. Food time..

For one it is the people here that make the 'joint', hands down, there is no other option.
Two, it has become a tad commercialized but I don't give a shit (gotta pay the bills), there is only one 'button' that means anything to me and that is "community" and that Sir is what we are, a community......Argue that!...lol

but I can't say that I am not surprised after interacting with some of the 'employees' over the years.......Yeah, we have Lowe's but convenience and price are king, Lowe's was four and a quarter before tax for the same unit and twice the drive (stuffing that bitch in a Subaru wagon has it's own challenges), as a practical matter I would rather support Lowe's but they are just not in my 'universe'....Kinda like Wally world, I hate to shop there but in reality I have to make my dollar go further so I do, it's a viscous cycle really....
