Rare Earth backpack vinyl??? Everybody had one of them. They were the coolest record cover out there with that one ......besides Bad Company's chrome silver album cover.

I am a total music buff. from the 70's to present, but please forgive my ignorance with asking about Rare Earth!!! Are they a 1 hit wonder, sorta-like "Golden Earring"????

It was a Live Album

I guess you never got to C e l e b r a t e another day of Livin'

God I'm old. I'll tell my whole story.

The Local Chatt Police got me the house for a few days and made the wife leave since I had kids. I got all my stuff packed in my truck because the cops said under Tenn Law she can throw all my stuff out and they can't do anything about it. When I was finished I purposely left two boxes in the bottom of the closet of record albums to let her pick hers out then I would come get the rest. (Boy if I knew then what I know now!!!!). My daughters were very little then and they tried to point out I had left something in the closet. I told them they were records and I would let Sissy get hers first. THEN the biggest speaks up behind me and says "what's a record?" ....OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO OMG !!!!! BUT !!!! the little one chimed in without missing a beat and said to the big one "I know" "it is those little silver things (holding her fingers in a small circle) you play" . ...... OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO surely I'm not that old yet !!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was 4 years ago.

LOL.
I was weaned on 50's first, then the Beatles, Stones, Janis Joplin, Big Brother & the Holding Co.
Jefferson Airplane, Commander Cody & the Lost Planet airmen, Journey, Creedance and many others that are sort of foggy in the recesses of the Haight in 67ish. Many lost weekends.
I guess you can say I love rock and roll, started with Bill Hailey & the Comets, the Big Bopper, I can still do a mean rendition of "Chantilly Lace", Otis Redding, The Righteous Brothers, now there was some lovin music. I remember getting laid one nite, stoned outta of my gourd, first time I heard "In a gadda da Vida" (Iron Butterfly) the long version and thought I had had premature ejaculation because I was done when the song was. The chick & I didn't know where the time went, well it was almost 15 minutes long, I thought it was like 3 minutes. Time warp continuum thing. Oh well back to reality.
Didn't make jury duty this am, dead ass battery. Checked batt it was 4 years old, well 3 yrs is old for AZ. It is so hot, that they are always charging and eat themselves up.
