It is my job to get that many bands on and off my field at the Stn Mtn Ga Highland Games. Been doing it for 15+ years now. LOVE IT I tell ya thought my record is 636 and our field is more challenging. We round the whole sides and with a counter march. I'm guessing against the bright sun but did I recognize some of the kilts?? Cincinnati Caledonian Band, Balentine, and I would hope you may have seen Atlanta Atoll Highlanders.
Did you film this?? Me, I love the Warpipes. Lets see if anybody youtubed Stn Mtn. I really don't know.
...except I see some trouble on other posts going on right now
"We fight not for Glory nor for Honors; but only and alone we fight for Freedom, which no Good Man surrenders but with his life" - Robert the Bruce "Declaration of Arbroath"
That is Jim Thompson the Drum Major leading and some other regulars and guests. The gray coats to the left were a band from Canada that year. It takes me 3 waves to get the bands on the field and 3 to get them off. I'm kinda the church bouncer,,, moving bands and people for 2 days for the games and the Border Collies show which is very popular. I never leave the field from 6 am to 6 pm. That year we didn't have the muzzle stuffers, I don't know why.?. Sundays I don't have as many bands but I have the Clans. so that is about 800 people to move then. But I love it.

on the Stone Mtn Games. CW the next time you go the tickets are on me. I'll leave you a couple at will call and the fre beer and bloody mary's are on me aye.
I love the Laser show on the Mountain carving especially when they make the Southern Generals come alive. Tears me up every time. Now that we got on the Lincoln subject again, I'm all mad again on the inside.
If you go in Oct, I'll see you there. You cannot possibly miss me. I'm the easiest one to pick out of the field.

Just the nature i guess.. but stand up folks for sure.. When ever we had a funeral service with the dept. i would be fine till they played those damn pipes.. Really touching..
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
I saw Mel on Letterman. Mel said he really enjoyed the locals. Met one of the kilt wearin' Bigg'n types,. Mel asked the age old question, "what do you wear under your kilt?".
The Scot leaned down to Mel and said "yer mothers lipstick!".
I'll never forget that one!
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
