If someone on the street sticks a microphone in
my face with a camera man I might want to know
who the hell they were also.

but Charles one thing I don't agree with, a microphone i
n your face does not equate to physically grabbing your
arm or an arm around the shoulder. I am quite sure on
a public street, a microphone in your face, as you are
walking does not constitute assault...but when the congressman
grabbed the guy, that would. Why didn't the congressman hand
out a card and ask him to contact his office? Why didn't he
just walk away, etc etc...I hope this comes back to haunt him.
Don't get me wrong, I think reporters or whoever in the media
go way overboard a lot of the time too. They did ambush him,
but it was handled wrong all around. I think you gotta look to
the intention of the guys reporting...I get the feeling it was setup
to get just what they got...a congressman on camera being an
asshole. If it were a constituent of the congressman who was
trying to get a legitimate answer to a question from his own
representative, it might be different. Anyway, that's my feelings.
Of course, opinions...blah, blah, blah.
