This is something beyond belief... I hope they push it through and it gets to all the hospitals burn units asap...
thats why i posted it,just in case someone can benefit and start asking for it,like every burn unit, starting with Walter Reed.
I work on Ft Hood, and you have no Idea how many burn victems I see coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. We need to military to start using some of that HUGE defense budget to get these into the military hospitals to compleate the testing. Can you think of a better way to prove it?
I bet if they actually saw this, at lesat one of them would have an instant hard on for it!
Seriously, this is something I think they would push hardest for than most anything right now excluding limb regeneration.
Matter of fact, I bet if people sent the link to that Doctor on CNN enough he would run a spot on it. Also pushing it for Military Application in the Field Med Units to start the process before getting to Germany to finish the treatment...
I wish they would've had that in '84.
4 days and he looks better than I look after 27 years!
Hell, I wasn't released for 9 days, then spent 6 months indoors.
I hope anyone who has been burned had the option of this treatment.
I wonder if the pain is gone after 4 days?
He lived on a Sail boat, I guess he used an Alcohol Stove and it blew up while he was sleeping. I couldn't imagine going through that, sorry you got burned Vaq. I did get burned on my hand and arm playing with Black Powder once, that was bad enough. Took a few weeks before it healed and it hurt for a while after that.
Two things scare me, the thought of burning and the thought of suffocation. They really do need to push this for burn units.
Makes me wonder about Chemical Burns, the kind kids get playing under the kitchen sink. Wonder if it would work with those?
I would think that once the caustic elements were removed or neutralized this treatment would work equally well on a chemical burn. Don't worry guys, I aint exactly disfigured, just got a screwed up tan! The scars have healed, the pigment is gone on areas of my lower arms and hands. I just remember the first shower after being burned. It sucked.
I remember them scrubbing my hand and arm with that damn Betadine Scrub Sponge. Being a black powder burn there was a bunch of soot and crap in it...
