My I ask a question?
What happened to black Americas amazing musical movement?
Is it just me, or for like 50 years they were trail blazing music in America and in the last 20 it has turned to crap. Repetitive, sloppy, unimaginative, soulless. What happened?

As our cultures deteriorate the talent has been perverted and led to Gangsta Rap trash. I don't think this is limited to Black talent, but has also hit all of music. I also believe the record labels have something to do with this. They've really shot themselves in the foot with the lack of quality of music they put out there. It's all promotion and no talent. And what with people able to download/steal on those internets, the whole industry is completely fucked up. How long has it been since we've experienced an Elvis, or the Beatles, or a Sinatra (I don't like him, but in his day he was in that category of stardom.)? Country still rocks, but frankly, I;d rather listen to Paul Potts sing opera than the trash that passes for music these days.
