get educated on glocks
yes!! Glocks will run dirty this is how they were designed to be very reliable in a combat situation.
there is very little friction when a Glock is in action. this video will explain this. enjoy!!
I checked the "overnights" (loosely defined as past comments) and noticed your name a couple of times.. Comments were positive as they should have been.. Have a feeling your going to be a great addition providing some of our "oddities" (loosely defined as our collective REAL weird group, self included) don't scare you off, etc, etc..
For what it's worth most new members don't get this super warm welcome, so give yourself an extra helping of raisin pie tonight..
RE Glocks running dirty.. The agency (DOC) i retired from transitioned to Glocks in the mid nineties.. A number of us who were involved with the armory, and training attended a Glock mfg briefing that was facilitated by the marketing end of the company. Those that dealt with LE agencies.. I remember these same issues being dealt with in the video..
Which by the way is a classic, clearly filmed in Austria, and dubbed into english.. At the time Glocks were just starting to become popular, and i can tell you that at the end of the film every one in the room had a true appreciation for quality of the piece..
Our transition was from revolvers (ruger and Smith K frames) and both staff, and armorers agreed that the weapons system was both reliable, and almost maintenance free..
All this being said im not much of a Glockaphile, but that has nothing to do with the piece..
Again welcome, and enjoy..
hey thanks man im looking forward to add a lot more videos to the gunslot!!
thanks for the welcome!!
pay attention here,don/t want to see you buying a Judge before you view these videos
Great video and welcome to our little gun club on the net
Yeah I love this vid. It covers all these myths about Glocks and running dirty...
I would still own a Colt or Smith than any Glock!!!
why sit there and shit on the Glock if you have never owned one get one then talk all the shit you want.
I owned a glock for all of 3 months. Sold it and will never buy another. There are as many reasons not to by a glock as there are to own one. if the Glock was the end all be all of pistols, why are there so many other brands selling like hot-cakes?
Ease of Maintenance
Simple Manual of Arms
Not Comfortable for Some
Shitty Factory Sights
Yep, that's about it. Comfort is a huge thing, and the Glock isn't for everyone, but I have yet to find any gun other than the XD that I like anywhere near as much as the Glock. Ooh, ready for some flaming?
IF THE GLOCK HAD BEEN AROUND IN 1911, JOHN BROWNING'S PISTOLS WOULD HAVE BEEN MINOR FOOTNOTES IN FIREARMS DEVELOPMENT BOOKS!!
And put on a fucking seatbelt!
I know your a glockophile..... But lets be honest, how it fits in the hand is a BIG con. If a person finds it uncomfortable (and I know not all do) then it is a no-go. I will never buy another glock, I won't say they are bad guns... Just bad for me. However, they aren't the only gun worth owning. And I'll take my 1911 over any glock, only thing they have on the glock is mag capacity, and I shoot well enough I don't need more then 8. Maybe you do though. :)
