maybe the quickest

Hamp,
I found this website for information, but it does not include that guys car. Maybe becasue these are production cars and his is a custom build. I would like to see more information on this 0-60 in 1 second claim he is making. I think the Shelby Aero would beat it in a top speed contest, although the Veyron might still hold that record. I read somewhere that the Aero was stable up to 278 MPH in a wind tunnel.

If you have anymore information please post it. I am interested to see what this guy did.

Here is the url for the list of production cars: http://www.agent4stars.com/billionairesclub/luxuryitems/cars/index.php?s...

Clint I think

he makes that claim from a quarter mile point of view, not a real world top
speed production car point of view. I agree that there are super cars like
the Veyron etc that are much faster and stable at speed but there are not
many cars that run a 6.95 @210 that you can drive to the 7/11 for a six pack
and some gum, a testament to the docile nature of turbo chargers.

I will see if I can find more info about this car.

thanks Hamp

I see what you are getting at. My brother used to make 1/4 and 1/8th mile cars. 1 second is incredible to say the least!!

I'm still not sure this is physically possible. No matter how much HP you have, there is the initial inertia to overcome. We need a physicist to confirm this.

The corvette is still impressive, but after reading more about it, it becomes more of a gimmick than a "driveable" car. It is quicker that any other car, but to say that you can drive it down the street to get groceries doesn't compute. It has to be extremely loud. I am curious to the db's it produces even at an idle. 10 gallons for a 2400 hp engine seems like a little more than a couple of drags. I wonder the ride feels like. If there was a corner would the corvette be able to keep its speed like the Veyron, Aero, or the Koenigsegg? Just my opinion, but in order to be called the fastest car, I would need a car that can do more than just dominate in the straight away.

i agree with clintebo.it may be the fastest car, however aside frim having a small tank of fuel you couldnt keep it controlled on a winding highway.it would be fun to have a similar engine in a full street/road racing type of car.in any case, dude built what he wanted to achieve and did a great job.pump gas in a twin turbo big american v8 is awesome when you consider the horsepower.ive known friends and aquaintances who run 100 octane to achieve 1200 ponies,so this guy really did his homework.too bad theres no footage of what it does on the strip.

You are likely right

the only resonable driving that probably does is to the car show/track and back
You might note that I modified the title a bit as I felt you made a good argument
in your earlier post :)

the World's Fastest Street Legal Car. That said, this gentleman does not intend to use this million dollar machine on the streets. He knows that and anyone seeing this should know that!
The rules state that it must be "capable" of being driven on the street. It must be licensed, have all street legal equipment on it, which it appears to have.
I am sure that this guy didn't build it from the look of his garage, he was just able to write the checks to have it done.
If you don't have a big pee-pee you have one of these.
