Actually, the guy still had a safety line hooked up to the upper half of the tree. Sometimes, when the upper starts to fall like that, the base of the upper pushes against the top of the lower ..... and depending on the height, the wood density, etc, the lower part of the tree can be into a rebound just as the upper part is trying to fall and perpendicular. The lower then shoots the upper like a bow and arrow, in a sense.

Let's not get too hasty there. It's one thing to go to the polls knowing that this duopolistic excuse for a voting system will always have us asking ourselves if we prefer rat poison or a bullet, but it's those dickwads who are STILL embracing Hope and Change; someone needs to smack them 'upside da hade'. I don't fault anyone for voting for Obama, but someone has to have gravel between their ears if they still think he's our country's saviour.

Remember what has been happening during the last four elections since Clinton passed Bush41's NATFA fiasco. Every candidate that has opposed NAFTA has been summarily shown the exit door from the debate stage ..... every one of them, so that the American public never learns the truth about how politicians have sold their own country out. Kucinich, Gravel, Paul, Barr, Nader, and the rest of the NAFTA critics; the main stream media has slowly pushed them to the outer seats so that their hand picked bozos like Clinton, Bush, and Obama could have center stage for their corporate sponsors, who just happen to own the media. How quaint.

If McCain didn't have Palin on board, I could have possibly voted for him, but Paul was my first choice. He, more so than anyone else, has done the math on how those bastards are continuing to steal from us. Meanwhile the average American fruit cake sits back in his BarcoLounger with a beer, totally obsessed with some stupid ball game or American Idol because he's allowed himself to be dumbed down and pacified to where he has the I.Q. of potato, a soggy potato at that.
